amandaraex-deactivated20120226 asked: Joining you in this! I love your blog title. For the new year, I plan on working out and losing weight by summer. What do you think is the best way to lose fat? What about a healthy amount of weight to lose in a week, month, 2 months, etc?
YES! glad to have you aboard! and thanks, the blog title is really fitting for me because it truly is a battle against myself every day to get stuff done.
a “healthy amount of weight” depends on how much you weigh already. if you feel like you need to lose weight, but are unsure of how much you need to lose, i’d recommend Googling “BMI calculator” and pick one of the various options that come up..it’ll have you enter your weight, age, and height and it’ll give you an estimate on your body fat percentage and where it SHOULD be for your age. that way you can make your goal to be getting to the healthy BMI range for your height and age!!
people usually lose 1.5 - 2.5 lbs. per week if they work REALLY hard, but there will be weeks where you won’t lose anything. that’s because your body constantly has to readjust to your weight when you’re losing the lbs. so just be patient and ditch the sweets and sodas and add some cardio and you’ll start seeing results!!!
